I had the pleasure of spending Saturday with members of the Stockton Fire Department delivering our signature TEN-23 program. We have delivered a number of programs for them in the past so it was no suprise to see a packed training room ready to learn. Although TEN-23 is designed to sharpen the communication and size-up skills of aspiring and existing officers, Stockton brought in a number of their new members in an effort to bridge knowledge gap. The training went very well and I am confident the members are ready for the next fire. Our next stop is the Winnebago Fire Chiefs Association to discuss recruitment and retention of today volunteers.
